DrawBuds makes printable worksheets for children who are learning to hold a pencil — tracing pages, letter and number practice, mazes, cutting practice and coloring sheets. Every file is a free A4 PDF. There is no sign-up, no email wall and no per-download limit.

There are 20 books on the site, about 380 worksheets in all. Where to start lists every one of them in teaching order, with ages and page counts.

Why this site exists

Most free printables on the web are made by scraping the same handful of files and re-hosting them. The pages are often the wrong size for A4, the letterforms are whatever font the maker had installed, and the file is wrapped in three redirects before you reach it.

Every DrawBuds book is drawn from scratch as vector artwork, laid out for A4 at 100% scale, and set in a typeface designed for beginning readers rather than a generic text font. The download button links straight at the PDF.

What you may do with the files

• Print them at home, as many times as you like.
• Print and photocopy them for a classroom, a nursery, a library or a reading group.
• Share the page they came from with another parent or teacher.

What we ask is that you do not re-upload the PDFs to another site, sell them, or bundle them into a paid product. The files stay free because they stay here.

No licensed characters, ever

You will not find cartoon or film characters on this site. Distributing them free is copyright infringement, however common it is on printable sites. Everything here is drawn around subjects nobody owns — animals, vehicles, shapes, letters, numbers and seasons.

The guides

Alongside the books there are five written guides, because a worksheet on its own does not tell you when to use it: the order to teach handwriting, pencil grip by age, teaching a left-handed child to write, sight words or phonics, and how to print worksheets so they actually work.

Where the books are going

The library is being built out in this order: alphabet and number tracing, then shapes and first words, then coloring by subject, then seasonal sets. If you teach and there is a sheet you keep having to make yourself, tell us on the contact page — that is where most of the list comes from.

Who runs it

DrawBuds is run by a small independent team based in India, publishing for families and classrooms worldwide. The site is funded by advertising, which is what keeps every file free to download.
