Eleven color words, each with a shape to color in that color
A color word worksheet printed in color is not a reading exercise. If red is written in red ink, a child who cannot read at all will still color the shape red. Every page here is black ink only, so the only way to know what color to use is to read the word.
The eleven words
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black, white, gray. That is the standard set most preschool curricula name, plus gray, which is worth having because it is one of the first words a child meets with two accepted spellings.
What is on each page
The word on three ruled rows — one grey copy, two dotted, then two blank rows — and a large outlined shape underneath with nothing in it. A different shape on every page: a circle, a star, a heart, an apple, a flower, a fish, a butterfly, a kite, a tree, a moon, a house.
The white page
Page 11 asks for white, and there is nothing to color with. That is deliberate and it is worth talking about rather than skipping: white is the color of the paper, so the shape is finished before it is started. Children find this either infuriating or very funny, and either way they remember the word.
US spelling
The book uses color and gray throughout. If you are teaching UK spelling, this is the one book on the site where that matters — the other titles avoid words that differ.

Printing this one correctly
In your printer dialog set Scale to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. Fit to page shrinks the tracing letters and they stop matching the size a child's hand is learning.
Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils. If your child uses felt pens, 100 gsm paper stops the ink bleeding to the next sheet.
